The project will apply methods developed by Tett et al., (2007)
which examine ecosystem hysteresis to determine the natural stress
loading and resilience of aggregate producing
ecosystems. The work will also underpin our
understanding of the nature, magnitudes and rates of change in
relation to natural forcing and aggregate dredging and therefore
will provide an essential piece of evidence in establishing
appropriate license conditions including restoration.
