Objectives

• Identify the primary survey tools employed under the ALSF, and associated data sets.
• Examine the survey strategies and standard operation procedures used.
• Assess the nature and quality of the data produced from each technique. 
• Assess the appropriateness of typical datasets for use by various disciplines (e.g. archaeology, mapping, impact assessment etc).
• Recommend how survey strategies and sampling techniques could be adapted to better meet the 'collect once, use many times' principle.
