MALSF Statement on Data Use and Publication

Dissemination Statement

MALSF material (excluding the logos) may be reproduced in any format or medium providing it is not used for commercial development of a product that can then be sold on for profit.  It may only be re-used accurately and not in a misleading context. 

The MALSF Steering Group will decide on timing and publishing of any MALSF funded outputs (including data sets), which will be subject to a peer-review process** before being made publicly available.

Any reproduction must include acknowledgement of the source of the material (MALSF) and the title of the source publication.  All MALSF material is Crown copyright and must be acknowledged as such.   Where Third Party copyright has been identified, further use of that material requires permission from the copyright holders concerned.

The Marine ALSF is currently managed by 2 delivery partners:

MEPF final reports for completed projects and MALSF publications are available for download from the MEPF website (www.alsf-mepf.org.uk).

MEPF REC data sets (see above **) can be obtained via the online web portal at www.marinealsf.org.uk.  It is the current intention of the MALSF that the long-term aim will be to migrate these data sets to the Data Archive Centres (DACs) within the MEDIN network.
